Wanderlust Paris Guide: Terrace, Music, Crowd, Getting There
· Updated:
Wanderlust is a club with a large wooden terrace above the Seine, at 32 quai d'Austerlitz, inside the Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris's 13th arrondissement. It is open all year: in summer the terrace hosts open-air parties, and the rest of the year it runs by event, with house and techno on some nights and hip-hop, R&B or reggaeton on others.
Wanderlust: venue page →A terrace first, a club second
Most people discover Wanderlust in summer, and that's when it makes the most sense. Time Out Paris describes about 1,600 m² with a big wooden terrace at street level, looking over the river, and that terrace is the heart of the place: on a summer evening the Seine runs right below and the party grows as the night goes on. Visit Paris Region adds two details that explain the mood. It was set up by the team behind Silencio, and it has always mixed urban music with electronic music, sometimes with street-food stands on the terrace. So it feels less like a dark club and more like a big outdoor party that happens to have a club room for later in the night or for bad weather.
Summer versus the rest of the year
To get an idea of how busy summer gets, look at August 2026. The programme covered Tuesday to Saturday: Sssound Like Summer on Tuesdays, open-airs on the terrace on Wednesdays (one with a PSG match on the big screen), Jeudi Ok on Thursdays with queer collectives, then Therapy, La Casa Del Perreo for reggaeton fans, an all-white party called Trendy and a Sixtion summer night at the weekend. That is a lot of different crowds in one week, and the music follows each night rather than a house style.
Outside summer, the rhythm slows down and the club works event by event. The latest dated night we found was on 9 and 10 October 2026, when Wanderlust and FVTVR, its neighbour in the building, put on a single party across four stages. If you're in Paris this winter and want to know whether something is on at Wanderlust, ask us on WhatsApp rather than turning up on spec.
Open-air parties in Paris and when they come back →Number 32, not 34
One practical tip saves a lot of confusion. Wanderlust is at 32 quai d'Austerlitz: Time Out Paris, Visit Paris Region and Sortir à Paris all give that number. Some ticketing pages write 34, but number 34 is FVTVR, the underground techno club in the same building. If your plan is a terrace and a mixed crowd, look for 32. If you'd rather end the night in a dark room with a long techno set, 34 is right next door. The two clubs are part of a stretch of the Seine that has plenty going on after dark, with Djoon, Petit Bain and the Bateau Phare a short walk along the quais of the 13th.
What to wear and getting home
Wanderlust doesn't publish a dress code, but some events set a theme, like the all-white Trendy party in August 2026, so read the event page before you choose an outfit. On a summer night on the terrace, take a layer for when the wind comes off the river. The nearest stations are Quai de la Gare on metro line 6 and Gare d'Austerlitz. For the return, the RATP gives the last metro at about 2:15am at the end of the line on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before public holidays, and about 1:15am on other nights, so the last train reaches your station earlier. After that, Noctilien night buses run from roughly 12:30am to 5:30am, and a Navigo pass works on them. Coming as a group or for a birthday? The conditions for a table depend on the club, the night and the area, so send us the date on WhatsApp.
