Silencio is the club designed by David Lynch at 142 rue Montmartre, in Paris's 2nd arrondissement, named after the club in his film Mulholland Drive. Time Out Paris (March 2026) calls it one of the most selective clubs in the city, with a cinema, an art gallery, a cocktail bar and a stage. Members and their guests come first; after midnight the door opens to others, if the door likes the look of you.

VIP Tables at Silencio

Silencio works as a members' club first, so a table or a guest-list spot depends on the night and on the door. Message us on WhatsApp with the date, how many you are and what you'd like, and we'll tell you what we can do for that night.

How to Get to Silencio

Silencio is at 142 rue Montmartre, 75002 Paris; the nearest metro stations are Bourse and Sentier. The metro runs until about 1:15am on weeknights and 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a public holiday (times at the end of the line), then the Noctilien night buses run from about 0:30 to 5:30, according to RATP.

Dress Code & Entry Requirements

The door is selective: Time Out's review warns that you have to “look right” to get in after midnight. Dress smart and keep your group small. If you're coming for a concert or a screening, the night's own listing tells you how entry works.

David Lynch's club on rue Montmartre

Silencio takes its name from the club in Mulholland Drive, and David Lynch designed the place himself: Time Out's review describes gold-leaf walls and neo-1950s furniture meant to keep you alert. Time Out Paris (March 2026) still lists it among the best clubs in the city, with a cinema, an art gallery, a cocktail bar and a stage shared by performers, artists and musicians from every genre. It opened as a private club, and that is still how it works: members and their guests have the place to themselves until midnight, then the door opens to others. Its 2026 calendar mixed DJ nights with concerts and screenings, from David Shaw in April and Axel Boman in May to a summer run that brought Matias Aguayo, Young Marco and Sofia Kourtesis.

Silencio and Sacré: same building, two clubs

The address confuses people: Silencio and Sacré both sit at 142 rue Montmartre, but they're two separate venues with their own door, programme and crowd. Time Out's review places Silencio beneath the Social Club, and that upstairs space is where Sacré opened in 2019. Silencio is the smaller, more private one, with a capacity of about 300 in event listings; Sacré is a club open to the public with its own bar. If you're planning a night in the Sentier, you can easily do both ends of the street, and Rex Club is a few minutes' walk away on boulevard Poissonnière. Tell us on WhatsApp which night you're aiming for and how many you are, and we'll tell you whether Silencio is realistic for your group.

Getting in and getting home

The nearest metro stations are Bourse and Sentier, both a couple of minutes away. The door is the whole story here: Time Out warns that after midnight you have to look right, so dress with care, come as a small group and be patient. Concert and screening nights have their own entry rules, set out in each night's listing. To get home, the metro runs until about 1:15am on weeknights and about 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a public holiday, measured at the end of the line, so the last train through your station leaves earlier. After that, RATP's Noctilien night buses run from about 0:30 to 5:30, and the first morning metros take over from there. Agree a meeting point with your group before you go in.
