Nodd La Défense Guide: After-Work, Club Nights, Getting There

Nodd is an after-work bar and club in a glass-and-wood cube in the Oxygen village, on the esplanade of La Défense, just west of Paris. From Tuesday to Friday it opens for after-work drinks with resident DJs, and on some nights it becomes a club playing house, techno, minimal and disco; the nearest station is Esplanade de La Défense on metro line 1.

From the office to the dancefloor

La Défense is Paris's business district, a place most people associate with offices rather than nights out. Nodd was meant to change that. It opened on 6 April 2019, as part of the Oxygen project to bring life to the esplanade, and Time Out Paris described it at the time as a glass-and-wood cube that would be a bar on weekday evenings and a club on some nights. That's still how it works. From Tuesday to Friday you can stop for a drink or a snack with resident DJs playing at after-work time, which makes it one of the few places in the district where you can go straight from your desk to a DJ set. The weekday crowd comes from the towers around it, so expect office clothes rather than club outfits early in the evening.

Club nights and daytime parties

Nodd opened with a party at 11am, and daytime has always been part of its identity. The electronic music press still lists it among the clubs of Paris and points to its daytime parties, which start in the afternoon and run into the evening, with house and minimal line-ups and a terrace overlooking the skyline. When it opened, collectives like Playground and Distrikt and the label RA+RE were on the bill. In 2026 the club nights came by event: Nodal on 10 April from 10pm to 5am, then dates on 11 April, 8 May and 30 May. That is the latest club night we found. At the start of November 2026 no later club dates had been announced in the listings we checked, while the after-work bar is still listed by Paris La Défense, so ask us on WhatsApp before you plan a night here around a club event.

Two terraces and a space for groups

Paris La Défense, the public body that runs the business district, presents Nodd as a modular space with its own sound and lighting, for 40 to 400 people, next to the Takis fountain. It has two terraces: one on the Takis side, and one facing Paris, with a view of the Eiffel Tower. That flexibility is why it also takes company seminars, cocktail lunches and evening events. For a birthday, a team night or a group booking, the conditions depend on the date and the format: send us the date and the number of guests on WhatsApp. Nodd doesn't publish a dress code.

Getting there on line 1, and getting home

Metro line 1 makes Nodd easy to reach. It's the driverless line that runs from La Défense to Château de Vincennes through Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, George V, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Châtelet, Bastille, Gare de Lyon and Nation, so from much of central Paris you take one train to Esplanade de La Défense. On the address: Paris La Défense gives 1-2 esplanade de La Défense, 92800 Puteaux, while some ticketing and listing sites give 2 esplanade du Général de Gaulle, 92400 Courbevoie, for the same spot in the Oxygen village. For the way back, the RATP gives the end of metro service at about 1:15am from Sunday to Thursday and about 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before public holidays, at the end of the line, so check when the last train leaves Esplanade de La Défense. After an after-work, you'll have plenty of time; after a club night until 5am, Noctilien night buses run from roughly 12:30am to 5:30am with Navigo valid, or take a taxi.
