It was La Locomotive for about forty years and reopened under its current name in 2010. VIP Tables at La Machine du Moulin Rouge
La Machine is a big club-and-gig venue, and table or guest-list options depend on the night. Message us on WhatsApp with the date, how many you are and the party you're after, and we'll tell you what's possible.
How to Get to La Machine du Moulin Rouge
The address is 90 boulevard de Clichy, 75018 Paris, next to the Moulin Rouge and Blanche metro station. The metro runs until about 1:15am on weeknights and 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a public holiday (end of the line); after that, RATP's Noctilien night buses run from about 0:30 to 5:30.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
There's no dress code unless a specific party sets one on its ticket page. Even when a night sells out, the venue usually keeps a small quota of tickets for the door.
From La Locomotive to La Machine
For about forty years this address was La Locomotive, where The Who and The Kinks played in the 1960s and which later rode the 1990s techno wave. The Moulin Rouge bought it, and it reopened as La Machine du Moulin Rouge in January 2010. Time Out Paris (March 2026) lists it among the city's best clubs: a three-floor mega-club with eclectic live bookings and themed nights such as “We Are The '90s” and the raves of the collective La Mamie's, with a tip to arrive early because the rooms fill up fast. The November 2026 programme shows the range: AMS's 15th anniversary on the 7th, Flash Cocotte on the 13th, Sans Logiques and 2Much on the 14th, Galop Galop on the 27th, and Trancemaster Krause all night long on 4 December.
Central, Chaufferie, Bar Ă Bulles and the roof
The Central is the main room, with more than 1,000 people on club nights, 800 for concerts, and the DJ booth right on the dancefloor. Downstairs, the Chaufferie is a basement club in the Moulin Rouge's old boiler room for close to 400 people. The Bar à Bulles, at 4 Cité Véron, has its own hours from Tuesday evening to Sunday, and there's a rooftop garden, Le Toit. The club itself runs on Friday and Saturday from midnight to 6am, and the other nights follow the gig and party programme. There's no dress code unless a party asks for one, and a small quota of tickets is usually kept for the door. For a group, message us on WhatsApp with the date and we'll tell you what's possible.
Next to the Moulin Rouge
La Machine is at 90 boulevard de Clichy, 75018 Paris, right beside the Moulin Rouge and Blanche metro station, at the western end of Pigalle. If you want a drink first, the Bar Ă Bulles opens in the evening, and the rest of Pigalle is a short walk away: Bus Palladium on rue Pierre-Fontaine, Folies Pigalle on the square, the Mikado and Madame Arthur further east. To get home, the metro runs until about 1:15am on weeknights and about 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a public holiday; those are arrival times at the end of the line, so the last train through your station leaves earlier. After that, RATP's Noctilien night buses run from about 0:30 to 5:30, and by the 6am close the morning metro is running again.
