Rex Club is the techno and house club in the basement of the Grand Rex cinema, at 5 boulevard Poissonnière in Paris's 2nd arrondissement. Time Out Paris (March 2026) says it has been going for more than 40 years and gave early nights to French names such as Laurent Garnier and Daft Punk. It opens Wednesday to Saturday, from around midnight to 7am, with room for 800 on a single dancefloor.

VIP Tables at Rex Club

Rex Club has no VIP area and no bottle service, as its own FAQ says: the night is about the DJ and the floor. If you want a ticket for a particular night, or you're coming as a group and want to know how the door works, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help.

How to Get to Rex Club

The club is at 5 boulevard Poissonnière, 75002 Paris, next to Bonne Nouvelle metro (lines 8 and 9). The metro runs until about 1:15am on weeknights and about 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a public holiday (times at the end of the line). After that, the Noctilien night buses take over, roughly from 0:30 to 5:30 according to RATP.

Dress Code & Entry Requirements

There's no published dress code. The club's FAQ describes a mixed crowd and no VIP section, so dress to dance, not to be seen. ID may be checked at the door: the club accepts an original passport, national ID card or driving licence.

Forty years of techno under a cinema

Rex Club sits in the basement of the Grand Rex, the huge cinema on the Grands Boulevards. According to the club's history, an acid house night in 1988 brought Laurent Garnier over from Manchester, and a 1995 refit made the room fully electronic, with the DJ booth turned to face the floor. Time Out Paris (March 2026) counts it among the best clubs in the city and mentions a sound system of 70 speakers. The programme stays close to techno and house, with long-running residencies: D'Julz and Bass Culture, Ivan Smagghe, Chloé, Traumer, Camion Bazar, La Mamie's and Miley Serious all appear in the club's 2026 listings. In November 2026 the club books Antal (7th), MrD (13th) and Hunee (20th).

One room, one dancefloor, 800 people

There is no VIP mezzanine here and no bottle service: the club's FAQ is clear that the focus is the DJ and the dancefloor, with a mixed crowd. The room holds 800 people on a single floor, and the club opens Wednesday to Saturday, all year, from around midnight until 7am. Midweek, the November 2026 listings are full of local labels and collectives, such as Westfall's Reload night or the DJ Football release party. Tickets are sold in advance online for each night, so it's worth sorting yours before you go. Tell us on WhatsApp which date you're after and how many you are, and we'll tell you what's still possible for that night. Doors usually open around midnight, so there's no need to turn up early.

Getting there and getting home

The address is 5 boulevard Poissonnière, 75002 Paris, right by Bonne Nouvelle metro on lines 8 and 9. You're in the middle of the Grands Boulevards, a short walk from Sacré and Silencio on rue Montmartre and from La Nuit on boulevard de la Madeleine further west. The metro stops around 1:15am on weeknights and around 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and the night before a public holiday; those are arrival times at the end of the line, so the last train through your station leaves earlier. After that, the Noctilien night buses run from about 0:30 to 5:30, according to RATP. By the 7am close, the morning metro is already running again. Keep the night's ticket and an ID on you, and agree a meeting point with your group before you go in.
