A scrapyard turned dancefloor
Virage occupies an old scrapyard tucked under the ring road on the north-west edge of Paris, fitted out with salvaged and recycled materials. Le Bonbon calls it an eco-responsible spot to hang out and party; the venue's own line is that it's an inclusive place to dance. In Resident Advisor's 2026 guide it's the open-air that comes alive when the weather warms up, which is exactly the appeal: long, warm nights outdoors, under the concrete, with the city's traffic passing overhead. Paris.fr once gave a capacity of 1,200 across the inside and outside areas, but that number belongs to an earlier season. It belongs to the same group as Badaboum, the club near Bastille.
The music and the crowd
Season five opened on 10 and 11 April 2026. The Friday was given to dark disco and dark techno and the Saturday to queer techno, both running from 22:00 to 06:00. According to Paris je t'aime, the season then ran from 16 April to 17 September, with Acid Arab and Discoquette among the announced names. Go back a few years and Le Bonbon was naming guests like Chloé, Rebeka Warrior, Daniel Avery and Ivan Smagghe. That gives a clear idea of the line: electro, techno and dark disco rather than commercial house, with a strong queer presence on the programme and a crowd that comes for the music and the open air.

Virage doesn't publish a dress code. It's an inclusive outdoor venue, so dress for the night and the weather: something you can dance in, comfortable shoes for a site that's partly outdoors, and a layer for the cooler hours before 06:00 at the start and end of the season. Once the 2027 dates are public, send us a WhatsApp with your night and the size of your group, and we'll help you organise it.
When will Virage reopen?
No 2027 dates have been announced. For reference, the 2026 season started with an opening weekend on 10 and 11 April and was announced to run until 17 September. That pattern may or may not repeat, so wait for the venue's own announcement on its website and on Instagram before you plan a trip around it. We'll update this guide when the new season is confirmed, and you can message us on WhatsApp to be told when it is.
Getting there, and where to go meanwhile
The closest metro is Porte de Saint-Ouen; bus 66 and the RER C station at Saint-Ouen are the alternatives. In season the nights finish at 06:00, roughly when the first metros start; earlier, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30, with Saint-Lazare among the network's big interchanges. Until Virage reopens, Badaboum, from the same group, runs club nights from Thursday to Saturday near Bastille, and the open-air season as a whole picks up again in spring.
