LGBTQ+ Nightlife in Paris: Clubs, Cabaret and Queer Nights

· Updated:

Queer nightlife in Paris is spread across the city rather than packed into one street: the Marais (3e, 4e) is the historic area for LGBTQ+ bars, while the club nights happen at places like Madame Arthur, the drag cabaret and French-pop club in Pigalle, La Station – Gare des Mines in the 18e, La P3 at Pamela in Saint-Germain and Bal Chavaux in Montreuil. Many of the best queer nights are parties by date, hosted by clubs that are open to everyone.

This guide lists the places with a clear queer identity first, then the clubs that host queer nights, with the dates we found for 2026. Programmes change fast, so if you're in Paris on a given weekend, ask us on WhatsApp what's on.

Madame Arthur: drag cabaret since 1946

Madame Arthur opened in 1946, and Le Bonbon calls it the first drag cabaret in France: Coccinelle and Bambi performed there, and it turned 80 in 2026. Since 2024 it has been at 75 bis rue des Martyrs, in the former Divan du Monde, with three rooms over four floors and five bars. From Thursday to Saturday the evening starts with the cabaret, sung live in French with piano and drag performers reworking the classics, and continues with a club that plays only French-language music, remixed by its resident DJs, until 6am. The cabaret ticket includes the club, and the autumn shows ran into December 2026.

La Station and the queer techno scene

For techno, the key address is La Station – Gare des Mines, a former coal station at Porte d'Aubervilliers (18e) run by Collectif MU, whose programming Resident Advisor describes as queer and community-led, from experimental club music to hardcore. Be quick: it was due to close on 1 November 2026, got a surprise extension to the end of the year, and then closes for about three years of building works. In Montreuil, Bal Chavaux, a concert hall and club in a former cinema, programmes queer club nights: Cirque Queer held its first club night there on 11 September 2026, and its Halloween ball on 31 October mixed horror films, drag and DJ sets until 5am. In season, the open-air Virage opened its 2026 season with a queer techno line-up on Saturday 11 April.

Pamela, at 62 rue Mazarine, is a vaulted cellar with alcoves and a big smoking room; Time Out lists it among the city's best clubs and notes that La P3, a queer night, is based there. Les Bains, the former Bains-Douches in the 3e, threw a drag ball hosted by Diamanda Callas for Halloween 2026, followed by DJs until 4:30am. Along the Seine, Wanderlust gave its Thursdays to queer collectives during summer 2026 with Jeudi Ok.

The Marais, and a closure

The Marais, in the 3e and 4e, remains the area where LGBTQ+ bars are concentrated, and it's a good place to start the evening before heading to a club. One historic name is missing in 2026: the Gibus, on rue du Faubourg du Temple, a club since the late 1960s, closed on 31 July 2026. Le Bonbon reported that a reopening with a more general concept was planned, but no date had been confirmed when we checked.

Pride in Paris

The Marche des Fiertés, Paris Pride, usually takes place in late June, preceded by two weeks of events, the Quinzaine des Fiertés. 2026 was unusual: the march, planned for Saturday 27 June from Place d'Italie to République, was cancelled because of the heatwave and held on Saturday 3 October instead. Clubs follow the date with their own parties, like La Nuit's BBB Pride edition on 28 June 2026. The 2027 date hadn't been announced on 3 November 2026; message us on WhatsApp if you're planning a trip around it.

Practical tips

Most queer nights in Paris are sold by date rather than every weekend, so check the date before you plan a trip around one. Pamela has a selective door; at Madame Arthur the cabaret ticket includes the club; and La Station's nights are by event until it closes at the end of 2026. For the way home, the metro runs until about 2:15am at the end of the line on Fridays and Saturdays, then the Noctilien night buses until about 5:30am. If you want a table, a guest list or help with a group, write to us on WhatsApp.
