L'Arc Paris Guide: Hip-Hop, House and the Arc de Triomphe

L'Arc is a club at 12 rue de Presbourg, in the 16th arrondissement, on the ring of the Place Charles de Gaulle facing the Arc de Triomphe. The Paris Region tourist board lists it as open all year from Thursday to Saturday, 23:55 to 06:00, with hip-hop and house, a restaurant, a VIP lounge and a panoramic terrace. It has a strict dress code (no jeans, no trainers) and is the club US rap stars use during Paris Fashion Week.

Why L'Arc stands out on the west side

Two things set L'Arc apart from the other clubs around the Étoile. The first is the music: where its neighbours lean towards house, deep house or afro house, L'Arc mixes hip-hop with house, which makes it the obvious choice if your group wants rap on a Saturday night in this part of Paris. The second is the setting. The Arc de Triomphe is right outside the door, and the venue is more than a dance floor: a restaurant, a bar, the club with its marble floor, a VIP lounge and a panoramic terrace, according to the tourist board. You can spend the whole evening in one building, from dinner to the last track. In July 2025 Paris Select Book called it a safe bet of Parisian nights, and the steady Thursday-to-Saturday rhythm, all year round, backs that up: it's not a club that disappears for the summer.

Fashion Week and the US rap nights

Sortir à Paris calls L'Arc the HQ of American stars in town for the shows, and the line-up of Paris Fashion Week 2025 explains why: Gunna on Wednesday 1 October, Travis Scott on Thursday 2 October, Quavo with Richie Akiva on Friday 3 October and Davido with Zack Bia on Saturday 4 October, with a couture photocall for guests. Four nights in a row like that are the hardest of the year to get into. If your trip lines up with a Fashion Week, the realistic way in is a table booked well ahead, and we'd rather hear from you weeks before than the afternoon of. Outside those weeks, L'Arc is a regular weekend club with a hip-hop and house programme, and much easier to plan.

The dress code, taken seriously

L'Arc is one of the few clubs here with a dress code spelled out: the tourist board says no jeans and no trainers, and suggests a fitted shirt or a bustier dress. Take it literally. Smart trousers and leather shoes rather than your best sneakers, a dress or a sharp outfit rather than denim. Sortir à Paris also advised arriving before midnight on big nights, which is good advice for any busy weekend here: the club opens at 23:55, and the queue grows fast after that. Groups that arrive together, dressed to the code, with the booking under one name, have the smoothest time. Conditions for tables depend on the night and where the table is.

Around the Étoile

Charles de Gaulle-Étoile is served by metro lines 1, 2 and 6 and by RER A, and rue de Presbourg is a short walk from the exits. Nua on rue de Tilsitt (afro house on Saturdays), Le Duplex on avenue Foch (open every night) and L'Aventure on avenue Victor Hugo are all within a few minutes, so the Étoile works as a small club district of its own. After closing, the N11 night bus stops at Charles de Gaulle-Étoile, towards the Champs-Élysées and the centre or towards Porte Maillot.
