Guest Lists in Paris Clubs: How They Work and How to Get On One
· Updated:
A guest list in a Paris club is a list of names the door team checks on the night: if you're on it, you arrive within the agreed time, give your name and go in, subject to the door's final say. It's common in commercial clubs such as Le Duplex, less so in techno clubs, which work with tickets, and some venues, like Pachamama, don't run one at all. To get your group on a list, message us on WhatsApp with the club, the date and the names.
We don't publish the conditions of each list, because they change with the club, the night and sometimes the hour: a list on a quiet Thursday isn't the same as one on a Saturday with a guest DJ. What follows is how the system works in Paris and how to use it well.
Guest list, ticket or table?
| Option | What it gets you | Where it's common | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guest list | Your names at the door for a given night | Commercial clubs in the 8th, 16th and Pigalle | Arrival time matters; the door still decides |
| Ticket | Entry for a dated event | Techno and house clubs, concert venues, big events | Big names sell out early; some clubs keep a door quota |
| Table | A reserved space inside, usually for a group | Champs-Élysées, Étoile, dinner-clubs | Makes the door simpler; conditions vary by club and area |
| Members first | Priority for members and their guests | Silencio | Others after midnight, at the door's discretion |
Which Paris clubs use guest lists
The guest list belongs mostly to the commercial clubs. Le Duplex, open every night at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, works with entry, guest list and tables. Around the Champs-Élysées and the Étoile, clubs such as Bridge, L'Arc and Raspoutine are built around tables and a selective door, and a list or a table depends on the night; the Paris Region tourist board even advises booking a table at L'Arc. In Pigalle, the options at La Nuit, Bus Palladium or La Machine change from one party to the next.

Other places say clearly that they don't use one. Pachamama, the dinner club near Bastille, states that it runs no presales and no guest list: it works with table bookings, taken until 10pm. Rex Club has no VIP area and no VIP tables, according to its own FAQ, and most techno clubs, from Essaim to Mia Mao, sell tickets for each night and keep the door for the rest. Silencio works as a members' club first and opens its door to others after midnight.

The list doesn't replace the door
Being on a list gets your name to the door; it doesn't overrule it. Essaim says entry is at its door team's discretion, even with a presale ticket, and that presale holders get priority until 1am. Pachamama reserves the right of admission even with a booking and asks for a balanced mix of men and women. At L'Aventure, the door is famously strict. So the usual rules still apply: dress for the club, arrive together, stay calm in the queue, and don't turn up with a group much bigger than the one you announced.
What to wear to get in →Big nights: Fashion Week, holiday eves and special dates
Lists fill up fastest on the nights everyone wants. During Fashion Week, clubs like L'Arc, which hosted Gunna, Travis Scott, Quavo and Davido over four nights in October 2025, and YOYO at the Palais de Tokyo draw a dressed-up crowd. The night before a public holiday works like a Saturday: in 2026, Wednesday 11 November is a holiday, so Tuesday 10 is a big night. For New Year's Eve, Le Duplex sells dinner-plus-club packages and Bridge takes table bookings for groups. On those dates, a table or a ticket bought ahead is often a safer bet than a list, so ask early.
How to get on a list with us
Send us a WhatsApp with five things: the club, or the kind of night if you haven't chosen; the date; how many you are and the mix of the group; the names as they appear on your ID; and roughly when you plan to arrive. We'll come back with what's possible that night: a guest list with its conditions and arrival time, a ticket if the night runs on tickets, or a table if that's the better way in. If the club you want has no list, we'll tell you straight away rather than send you to the door for nothing.
Tips for the night
- Arrive within the time you were given: lists are often tied to an arrival window, and Paris clubs fill up after 1am.
- Come as one group. The door checks names together, and stragglers make it harder for everyone.
- Bring a physical ID with the name on the list: Le Duplex asks for one, and Rex Club accepts an original passport, ID card or driving licence.
- Dress for that club, not for Paris in general: smart around the Champs-Élysées, relaxed in the east.
- On big dates such as Fashion Week nights or public holiday eves, ask a few days ahead.
One last thing: a guest list is for clubs, not for every kind of night. At Madame Arthur, show seats, dinner and club entry are booked night by night; at the Bateau Phare, a group can book the boat privately; and at concert venues like Le Trabendo or Petit Bain, the ticket is the way in. If your plan mixes several of these, tell us and we'll help you sort it out.

What is a guest list in a Paris club?
It's a list of names the club gives to its door team for a given night. If your name is on it, you go to the door at the agreed time and give your name. The conditions, such as the arrival time and what it includes, depend on the club and the night.
Does the guest list guarantee entry?
No. In Paris the door always has the last word. Essaim says so even for presale tickets, and Pachamama reserves the right of admission even with a booking. Arriving on time, dressed for the club and in a reasonable group makes all the difference.
Do all Paris clubs have a guest list?
No. Pachamama says it runs no presales and no guest list, only table bookings. Rex Club has no VIP area, and most techno clubs work with tickets and the door. Commercial clubs such as Le Duplex work with entry, a guest list and tables.
How do I get on a guest list in Paris?
Message us on WhatsApp with the club, the date, how many you are and the names in your group. We'll tell you whether there's a list that night, the conditions and the time to arrive, or suggest a ticket or a table instead.
What's the difference between a guest list and a table?
A guest list gets your names to the door; a table gives you a reserved space inside, which in clubs around the Champs-Élysées also makes the door much simpler. Table conditions depend on the club, the night and the area.
