Le Trabendo Paris Guide: Music, Crowd, Dress Code, Getting There

· Updated:

Le Trabendo is a 900-capacity concert hall inside the Parc de la Villette, in the 19th, that runs mostly gigs (electro, pop, punk rock, jazz) and, on selected nights, techno and electronic club nights, such as the two Pitchfork Club Nights on 6 and 7 November 2026. It's less a weekly nightclub than a room where live music and club culture overlap, which is exactly how Resident Advisor's 2026 Paris guide describes it.

A concert hall with club nights

Be clear about what Le Trabendo is before you plan a night. Its calendar is mostly concerts, and on many evenings there's no club at all. What earns it a place in club guides is the way it regularly hands the room to electronic music. Resident Advisor says it “sits at the intersection of live performance and club culture”, with live electronic sets and club nights that often lean experimental. In early November 2026 the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris shows the pattern well: two sold-out electro concerts on the 3rd and 4th, then two club nights tagged techno on Friday 6 and Saturday 7.

So the practical rule is: start from the agenda, not from the day of the week. When a club date is announced, it's worth deciding early, because they're less frequent than at a dedicated club. Message us on WhatsApp with the date if you want help.

The room and the park around it

The venue holds 900 people and has two bars, one of them on a large outdoor terrace, and above it stands one of the red “folies” that the architect Bernard Tschumi scattered across the Parc de la Villette. For a club night, 900 is a comfortable number: enough people for the room to feel full and the sound to hit, few enough that you're never far from the booth. Being inside the park also changes the arrival: you walk in along its paths rather than from a busy street. Around it are Cabaret Sauvage, the Grande Halle and the Philharmonie, so the area is lively on concert nights, and Le 211, by the canal at the end of the Grande Halle, is an easy spot for a drink or dinner beforehand.

What to wear

Le Trabendo doesn't publish a dress code. Dress as you would for a gig in a park: comfortable, with a layer for the terrace or the walk through the park in the cooler months. On club nights the crowd follows the music, and techno nights mean clothes you can dance in for hours. If you're coming as a group, tell us on WhatsApp the date and how many you are.

Getting there and getting home

On paper the address is the park's, 211 avenue Jean Jaurès; in practice you'll get off at Porte de Pantin on line 5. On Friday and Saturday nights the last metros get to the end of their lines at about 02:15, and about 01:15 on other nights. For later departures, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30, with Gare de l'Est among the network's big interchanges. During the Pitchfork festival, Badaboum hosts its own night, Club DH2, on the 5th, so the week can be spread across two areas of the city.
