A club where the residents call the shots

Sacré opened in 2019 in the space of the former Social Club, then closed for works and came back in September 2023. Resident Advisor covered the reopening: new sound by Solution63Hz, a DJ booth wrapping 180 degrees around the main room, and a programme handed to twelve residents, Boston Bun, Céline, Mira Ló and UN*DEUX among them. That model shows in the nights. It feels less like a venue booking whoever is touring and more like a crew inviting friends: Sacré and UN*DEUX saw in 2026 together, and in March 2026 the bill brought Antoine Bourachot, Vitamine C and Les Éditions Vermillon. The venue says it is supported by the CNM, France's national music centre, and by the City of Paris.

Start at The Spot, finish on the floor

The easiest way to do Sacré is to arrive early. The Spot, the bar and restaurant, opens at 7pm from Thursday to Saturday, so you can eat and have a drink without changing address, then stay as it turns into a dancefloor after 11pm. On Friday and Saturday the club proper takes over, with a dancefloor for about 350 people. It's a crowd that comes to dance with friends rather than to sit at tables, which makes it a good fit for groups of four to six who like house and techno and want a central, unpretentious night. If you're more into jokes than kick drums, check the Sacré Comédie programme on the venue's site.

The house rules

Sacré doesn't publish a dress code. What it does publish is a short charter: respect and kindness, freedom, tolerance and safety. The team can refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who doesn't play along. Read it as the real door policy: being friendly and easy-going in the queue matters more than your outfit. ID may be requested at the door, so keep yours on you.

The charter also tells you something about the room. The programme is built by the club's own residents, the crowd comes to dance with friends, and nobody is there to be seen at a table. If that sounds like your kind of night, you'll fit in whatever you're wearing. If you need a velvet rope and a booth to feel you're out, the clubs of the 8th are more your style.

Sacré or Silencio? Same address, two clubs

Silencio, David Lynch's members-first club, is in the same building at 142 rue Montmartre, beneath the space that is now Sacré. They have separate doors, programmes and crowds. If you want an open door and a dancefloor, Sacré is the one; Silencio is selective after midnight and members-only before. For the metro, the venue points to Bourse or Sentier on line 3, Réaumur-Sébastopol on line 4 and Grands Boulevards on lines 8 and 9, and Rex Club is a short walk away on boulevard Poissonnière.
