Petit Bain is a cultural venue on a boat moored at 7 Port de la Gare, on the Seine in Paris's 13th arrondissement. It has a restaurant, a rooftop bar and a 450-capacity room that hosts concerts in the evening and eclectic club nights after midnight; it opens at 6pm, closes at 2am Monday to Thursday and at 6am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Gig or club night? How to read the programme

The first thing to know about Petit Bain is that most evenings are concerts. Time Out Paris lists rock, metal, reggae and experimental electronic music among the regulars, and in November 2026 gigs fill most nights between the 4th and the 26th. Club nights are fewer and come later: they start at 23:59, sometimes on the same evening as a concert. So when you look at a date, check the start time. An event at 7pm or 8pm is a gig; an event at 23:59 is a club night. Saturday 7 November shows both sides in one go: an electronic folk dance night with EIN L AQL, AndL and Nayoo from 6pm, then Club Late Music with XYears from 23:59. After that come a Zawa club night on Friday 13 November and, on Saturday 12 December, a STUDIO night with KOAN Sound, Phace, Chopsoe and Maevol for people who like their bass heavy.

A boat run as a cooperative

Petit Bain isn't a nightclub in the commercial sense. It calls itself a floating cultural venue and is run as a cooperative, and its own website sets the tone in one line: an accessible space where everyone is treated with respect. Some of its parties are billed as inclusive and accessible. In practice that means a mixed, relaxed crowd that comes for the music and the river rather than for a scene. Time Out Paris put it in its March 2026 list of the best clubs in Paris, which says something about how the club nights are seen even though concerts are the core of the programme. If you're after a VIP table night, this is not the place. If you want a good gig, a dance after midnight and people who leave you alone, it is.

Start early: dinner, the roof, then the room

Because the boat opens at 6pm, Petit Bain is one of the easiest places in Paris to turn into a whole evening. You can eat at the restaurant, have a drink on the rooftop bar while the light goes down over the Seine, catch the concert and stay for the club night if there is one. On weekdays the boat closes at 2am, so it works for a midweek night out; on Fridays and Saturdays it stays open until 6am. The neighbours make it easy to move on, too. The Bateau Phare is moored a few numbers along at 3 Port de la Gare, and Djoon, the house club, is close by on boulevard Vincent Auriol.

Getting there and getting home

Petit Bain doesn't publish a dress code: come as you are, with a layer for the rooftop. For the trip, metro line 6 to Quai de la Gare is the most direct, and line 14 or RER C to Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand also works. Getting home depends on the night. On a weekday gig, you'll usually make the last metro, which the RATP gives at about 1:15am at the end of the line from Sunday to Thursday. On a Friday or Saturday club night, the last metro is around 2:15am, well before the 6am close, so plan on a Noctilien night bus (roughly 12:30am to 5:30am, Navigo valid), a taxi or the first metro.
