Mia Mao is a techno warehouse at 2 rue de la Clôture, in La Villette in the 19th, open on Thursdays from 23:00 to 06:30 and on Fridays and Saturdays from midnight to 07:00, playing techno, house, trance, hard music and drum & bass in a former industrial hall of about 3,000 m². It's the indoor home of the north-east Paris techno scene, and Time Out names Kilomètre25 as its sibling club.

What the warehouse is like
The first thing you notice is the scale. Time Out describes six-metre ceilings, about 3,000 m² of space and three bars, and the detail people remember: a tattoo parlour set up inside a London double-decker bus. It's a big, raw room built for loud sound and long nights, the opposite of the small basement clubs in the centre of Paris. If you're new to the city's techno scene, this is one of the rooms where the reputation of the north-east is made.
The crowd is there to dance. The club doesn't allow photos or videos inside, which changes the atmosphere: fewer phones in the air, more attention on the music. Manu le Malin is a resident, which says a lot about the club's tastes.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday: how the nights differ
Mia Mao opens three nights a week, plus the odd extra night before a public holiday, such as Tuesday 10 November 2026, the eve of the Armistice. Thursday finishes a little earlier, at 06:30; Friday and Saturday start at midnight and go on to 07:00. Each night is run by a different crew, and the music ranges from house to trance, hard music and drum & bass, so read the genre before you buy. In November 2026, for instance, TSHA was MYD's guest on the 6th, Le Wanski & Friends played the 7th, Somewhen joined 2Much for its second birthday on the 20th, and Take Hit (5th), FLUID x GALOP GALOP (14th) and Hot Meal (21st) filled other dates. Tell us on WhatsApp which kind of night you're after, and we'll help you choose.
Techno in Paris: the clubs to know →What to wear, and what to leave at home
Mia Mao doesn't publish a dress code. Its rules are about other things: no photos or videos inside, no suitcases, and a cloakroom for coats and bags, which you pay for. In practice, wear something you can dance in for hours in a big, warm room, and travel light. If you're arriving straight from the airport or a train with luggage, drop it somewhere first. The club's FAQ is strict about these rules, so it's worth reading before you go.
Getting there and getting home
The closest stop is Ella Fitzgerald on tram T3b; metro 7 at Porte de la Villette and metro 5 at Porte de Pantin are a few minutes' walk. The last metros get to the end of their lines at about 02:15 on Fridays and Saturdays and around 01:15 on Thursdays, so the usual plan is to arrive by metro and leave at closing time, when it has started again. In between, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30. For a weekend that never quite ends, Glazart's daytime afters start at 06:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, a short ride away at Porte de la Villette.
