Manko Paris Guide: Dinner, Party Nights, Dress Code

· Updated:

Manko is a Peruvian-Japanese (Nikkei) restaurant at 15 avenue Montaigne, in the 8th arrondissement, that turns into a party from Wednesday to Saturday, with DJs, live saxophone, percussion and performers. Dinner is served every evening and the bar stays open until 02:00, according to its website. Think of it as a long, festive evening on the fashion avenue rather than a club that runs until dawn.

How an evening at Manko unfolds

The order matters at Manko. You arrive for dinner, and the room changes around you. The kitchen is Nikkei, the cooking that grew out of Japanese technique and Peruvian flavours, and it runs seven evenings a week. On party nights the music goes up once dinner is under way: DJs first, then live musicians who play over the sets. The bar, redone in red marble and mirrors during the renovation by designer Sophie Lacroix, leans on tequila and mezcal, which sets the tone. Because the bar closes at 02:00, the best of the party is between the end of dinner and closing time, not at 04:00. That's what makes Manko useful: you get dinner, a show and a dance in one place, and you can still go on to a club afterwards if you have the energy.

Wednesday to Saturday: what each night is like

Manko's website gives each party night its own flavour. Wednesday opens the week with a festive evening. Thursday is House of Manko, built around house sets. Friday is Manko Loko, the most theatrical night, with performers and live musicians on top of the DJ; a late-2025 article in Vanity Teen also described Manko Loko with live jazz and percussion, at a time when it ran on Thursdays, so the line-up moves. Saturday brings DJ sets backed by saxophone and percussion. If you only have one evening, Friday gives you the full show; if you prefer the music to the spectacle, go for Thursday. Sunday to Tuesday, Manko is a restaurant only, so don't book those nights expecting a party.

What to wear and how to book

Manko doesn't publish a dress code, but this is avenue Montaigne, between the fashion houses and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the crowd dresses for it. A smart shirt or a dress and good shoes are the right level; trainers and sportswear look out of place. The simplest way in is a dinner booking, because the party happens around the tables. Tell us whether you want an early table for a quiet dinner first or a later one closer to when the music starts, and how many of you there are. Conditions depend on the night and the table. One more thing: the same address hosted Alma, a club that opened in November 2022. If you see that name online, it's the same place, and everything there now goes under the Manko name.

Before and after: getting there and carrying on

The nearest metro is Alma-Marceau on line 9, at the river end of avenue Montaigne. When the bar closes at 02:00 on a Friday or Saturday you may still catch one of the last metros, which run until about 02:15 on those nights; otherwise the N11 night bus runs along the Champs-Élysées, about ten minutes' walk away. If you want to carry on dancing, the 8e has clubs a short walk or ride away: Raspoutine on rue de Bassano, Cova and Mirage on rue Pierre Charron, all open later than Manko.
