Les Planches Paris Guide: Saturdays and the Puebla Night
· Updated:
Les Planches is a club at 40 rue du Colisée, a side street of the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement, and it has been part of the street's nightlife for decades. In July 2026 Sortir à Paris described it as open every Saturday from 23:00 to 05:00, with house, Latin sounds and chart hits, and a Mexican residency called Puebla with tequila, mezcal and live mariachis. It's a Saturday-night club for groups who want to sing as much as dance.

What the Puebla night feels like
Most clubs around the Champs-Élysées play it cool. Puebla doesn't. The residency, as Sortir à Paris described it in July 2026, mixes DJ sets of house, Latin music and chart hits with a Mexican theme: tequila and mezcal at the bar and live mariachis who come on between the sets. The result is closer to a big party than to a pose-and-watch club, and the crowd tends to come for exactly that, with birthdays and groups of friends who know the words. If your idea of a good Saturday is a room where people sing along to the chorus, this is a better fit than the deep house basements of the area. If you want something more restrained, look at Raspoutine or Cova instead.

The room and the size of your group
Inside, the rooms are in deep Bordeaux tones, with a spacious dance floor, a bar and a smoking lounge, across 250 m² of modular space. That's a medium-sized club: big enough to dance properly, small enough that a group of ten is noticed. For a private party it can take up to 700 people standing or 400 in cocktail format, according to Sortir à Paris, which is why it also works for company parties and big birthdays. For a normal Saturday, the useful question is how many you are. A small group can try the guest list; from six or eight people upwards, a table gives you a base and makes the door simpler. Conditions depend on the night and where the table is, so send us the date and headcount on WhatsApp.
How guest lists work in Paris →What to wear and when to arrive
Les Planches doesn't publish a dress code. It's a Saturday-night club in the 8e, so the safe level is a shirt or a dress, proper shoes and no sportswear. Many people have dinner in the Triangle d'Or first and arrive around midnight, when the room starts to fill. Arriving together helps: a group that turns up in one go gets through the door faster than one that trickles in over an hour. If it's a birthday, say so when you message us, so we can suggest the right spot in the room. Other listings mention more opening nights during the week than the Saturday described by Sortir à Paris; we only vouch for the Saturday, so if another night suits you better, ask us and we'll check before you go.
Around rue du Colisée
Rue du Colisée links the Champs-Élysées to rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, with Matignon and the Rond-Point a few minutes away and avenue Montaigne close by for dinner. If part of your group wants reggaeton rather than mariachis, Medellin on avenue Marceau is the other Latin address of the 8e. At night the N11 bus stops at La Boétie-Champs-Élysées and Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées, both a few minutes from the club.
