Les Étoiles Paris Guide: Music, Crowd, Dress Code, Getting There

· Updated:

Housed in an old theatre at 61 rue du Château d'Eau, close to Strasbourg-Saint-Denis in the 10th, Les Étoiles runs two dance nights every weekend, “Mini Club” on Fridays and “La Dancing” on Saturdays, both from 23:55, built on hits from the 1980s to today, with concerts on some weeknights. If you want a night of songs everyone knows rather than a techno club, it's one of the easiest picks in the east of Paris.

A dance night where people sing along

La Dancing is the long-running one. Sortir à Paris describes it as a dance party built on hits from the 80s to the present day, and that's the whole idea: the DJ plays songs people know, and the room sings back. It's the opposite of a night spent nodding along to a kick drum in the dark. The Friday night is called “Mini Club” on the venue's agenda for November 2026; Sortir à Paris's late-October guide still listed a Friday “Bal du 10ème”, so the name has changed recently. Either way, Friday and Saturday are the club nights, and the doors open at 23:55.

That makes it a good choice for mixed groups: a birthday where not everyone likes electronic music, friends visiting Paris for a weekend, or colleagues who want to dance without studying a line-up first. The venue's own agenda lists the weekends (6–7 and 13–14 November 2026 and onwards), so check it for the date you have in mind. If you can only make one night, Saturday is the safer bet for the classic version: La Dancing is the established Saturday party that Sortir à Paris has followed for years, while the Friday night has just changed its name. Either way, expect the room to warm up after midnight rather than on the dot of 23:55, and the songs to get more and more familiar as the night goes on.

A theatre that became a club

The building is a former theatre, as Sortir à Paris points out, and it now presents itself as a hybrid venue for club nights and live music. You still feel the theatre in the room: there's a stage, and on weeknights it's used for concerts (in November 2026 the agenda had gigs on the 10th and 13th). At weekends the stage and the floor share the night. The venue has also turned New Year's Eve into a cabaret version of La Dancing, which Sortir à Paris covered for 31 December 2025; the 2026 edition hadn't been announced when we checked.

What to wear

Les Étoiles doesn't publish a dress code. La Dancing is a hits night, so the crowd tends to dress for a night out rather than for a warehouse: something you'd wear to a party, with shoes you can dance in until late. If you're coming for a birthday or with a large group, message us on WhatsApp with the date and how many you are, and we'll tell you what's possible that night.

Getting there and getting home

Château d'Eau metro (line 4) is on the doorstep, and Strasbourg-Saint-Denis (lines 4, 8 and 9) is a short walk. The streets around are full of late bars and restaurants, so with the club opening at 23:55 there's time for dinner or a drink nearby first. The last metros get to the end of their lines at about 02:15 on Fridays and Saturdays. After that, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30, and both Gare de l'Est, just north, and Châtelet are among the network's big interchanges, which makes the way home simpler than from the edges of the city.
