Gig night or club night? Read the calendar first

Le Klub doesn't have one identity, it has two, and they rarely share a date. Some evenings are gigs: rock and metal shows went up on 26 and 28 June and 1 July 2026, according to setlist archives. Other nights belong to collectives who bring their own sound. In 2026 that meant a Valentine's night on 14 February that ran from midnight to 5:30am, and MECHANICAL on 9 May, a techno and trance party spread over both rooms. So the first thing to do is check what kind of night your date is. A metal show and a trance party in the same room are two very different evenings.

Because the collectives change from one date to the next, the line-up matters more here than the venue's name. If a particular party catches your eye, message us on WhatsApp with the date and we'll tell you what's still available. Don't expect tables or bottle service: this is a gig-and-dancefloor room.

A small, rough room with an open door

Time Out's review paints the picture: a ground floor plus a basement, bare stone, touches of industrial steel and banquettes built from wooden pallets. With about 250 people it fills quickly, the sound is close, and you end up next to the stage or the booth whether you planned to or not. The same review talks about a relaxed, non-conformist crowd, plenty of tattoos and piercings, and open codes for both music and clothes. The MECHANICAL page in May 2026 described the night as LGBTQIA+ friendly. In other words, nobody will look at your shoes.

Who will enjoy it

Le Klub is for people who already know the night they want: trance and hard techno fans, metal and rock crowds on gig nights, groups of friends who like a loud, tight space. It's less suited to a birthday that needs a table, or to visitors expecting a polished big-city club. Dress the way you would for a gig, with shoes that can take a crowded floor and a basement staircase.

If it's your first time, the easiest way in is a club night run by a collective you already follow: you'll know the sound and probably part of the crowd. On gig nights the room works like a small concert hall, so arrive for the band you came for rather than at the end of the evening, and expect the space to fill fast with only about 250 people inside.

Châtelet before and after

The address is one of the easiest in Paris to reach: Châtelet is the city's biggest metro and RER hub, so you can get there from almost anywhere. Les Bains is a few minutes' walk away on rue du Bourg-l'Abbé if you fancy a more polished second stop, and the Marais is right next door for a drink beforehand. If you leave before the metro stops, the last trains reach the end of the line around 1:15am on weeknights and 2:15am on Fridays and Saturdays; after that, the Noctilien night buses run until the morning metro starts again.
