La Marbrerie Montreuil Guide: Club Nights, Gigs, Brunch, Getting There
· Updated:
La Marbrerie is a music venue at 21 rue Alexis Lepère in Montreuil, just east of Paris, two minutes on foot from Mairie de Montreuil station on metro line 9. It mixes gigs, Sunday brunches with live music and club nights on some Fridays and Saturdays, with a sound that moves from baile funk and electronic music to raï, jazz and hip-hop.
La Marbrerie: venue page →A venue that does a bit of everything
La Marbrerie doesn't pretend to be a nightclub, and that's its charm. The venue describes itself as a concert hall, a canteen, a school, a music and dance studio, a gallery and a workshop, all at once. Time Out Paris, writing in September 2025, called it an estimable Montreuil venue that had opened almost ten years earlier, and the press has long described it as a place for brunches and for club nights that run into the early morning. Over a few weeks you might find a doom metal gig, a family dance afternoon and a baile funk night. For a visitor that means one thing: check what's on the date you have in mind, because the same room can be a concert, a party or a Sunday lunch.

A Montreuil weekend: club nights, then Sunday brunch
The first weekend of November 2026 is a good example of how to use the place. On Friday 6 November, Baile Trama Dark brings Bonekinha Iraquiana for a night of dark baile funk. On Saturday 7 November, With Us × Misantropical takes over for a club night. On Sunday 8 November, the mood changes completely with a vegetarian brunch and a concert by Mateo Vermot. The weekend before, on 1 November, the doom metal band Messa played a gig, and in mid-October the venue hosted a raï night. As a guide to how late the club nights go, a Friday club night on 6 March 2026 ran from 11pm to 5am with Soupe Machine, Motorium, Virtual Forest and LOOP.
La Marbrerie doesn't publish a dress code. It's a relaxed local venue, so dress as you would for a gig, and bring a layer for the walk back to the metro. If you're coming as a group, send us the date on WhatsApp: the conditions depend on the venue and the night.
The clubs and venues outside the périphérique →Getting there from Paris, and the sister venue
Mairie de Montreuil is the eastern end of metro line 9, which crosses Paris from Pont de Sèvres through Trocadéro, Franklin D. Roosevelt, République, Oberkampf and Nation. So from much of the city you get on line 9, stay on until the last stop, and walk about two minutes to 21 rue Alexis Lepère. One stop earlier, at Croix de Chavaux, is Bal Chavaux, the second venue run by the same team, in the former Méliès cinema, with a 500-capacity hall for gigs and club nights. Le Chinois, a bar, gig venue and club, is in the same area. On a busy weekend it's easy to stay in Montreuil all night, and you only have one metro line to think about on the way home.
Getting back after a club night
The RATP gives the end of metro service at about 1:15am from Sunday to Thursday and about 2:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before public holidays, measured at the end of the line. Since Mairie de Montreuil is itself the end of line 9, check the exact time of the last train towards Paris in the RATP app before the night starts. A club night that runs until 5am, like the March 2026 date, goes well past it. Then you have Noctilien night buses, which run from roughly 12:30am to 5:30am and accept a Navigo pass, a taxi, or the first metro of the morning.
