A club in a clearing, inside the city limits

Many of the open-airs around Paris sit beyond the périphérique. La Clairière is one of the few inside the city limits, because the Bois de Boulogne is part of the 16th arrondissement. The name means “the clearing”, and that's the idea: a dancefloor under the trees, a chill-out zone for when your legs need a break, food stands so you don't have to leave for dinner, and tables you can book with friends. Sortir à Paris described the 2026 edition in those terms, with electronic DJ sets mostly on Friday and Saturday evenings and a few special opening days depending on the programme.

What a summer evening there looks like

Think of it as an evening rather than a late night. You arrive while it's still light, settle at a table or on the grass near the chill-out area, eat something from the stands, and move to the dancefloor as the light fades through the trees and the DJs push into house and dance music. Each evening in 2026 had its own programme and its own tickets, so the line-up changed from one weekend to the next. You're outside in a forest, so think light summer clothes, flat shoes that cope with grass, and a jumper in your bag, because evenings in the Bois de Boulogne cool down quickly.

Getting there and back

It's deep inside the woods, so plan the trip. Sortir à Paris recommends the metro to Porte Maillot (line 1) or Porte Dauphine (line 2), then bus 244, getting off at Carrefour de Longchamp; on a summer evening, cycling through the woods is another way in. The way back needs more thought than in the city centre. The last metro reaches the end of the line around 1:15am on weeknights and 2:15am on Fridays and Saturdays, so the last train through Porte Maillot or Porte Dauphine leaves earlier; after that, the Noctilien night buses run until about 5:30. Check your bus and train before the evening starts.

Planning for 2027, and what to do until then

The 2027 dates haven't been published, so nobody can sell you a 2027 night yet. If you're planning a birthday, a summer trip to Paris or a group evening next year, send us your rough dates and group size on WhatsApp and we'll get back to you when the new season is confirmed, tables included. From October to May, the clubs inside the city take over. YOYO, under the Palais de Tokyo in the same arrondissement, is the closest in spirit for house music.
