Techno nights in a circus
Let's be straight about it: Le Cirque Électrique isn't a club every weekend, and on most nights you'll find circus, cabaret or a concert rather than a DJ. But when it does host electronic nights, they're worth knowing about. Look at 2026. Ornorm's ACROBAT, which mixes techno, hard techno and dubstep, took over the Anticlub on 9 May and returns on 28 November from 20:00. Microclimat had the big top on 11 July, with house, indie dance and techno under the canvas and disco on another floor. October brought two nights back to back: the monthly Carte Noire residency on the 9th and the techno night Sector 4 on the 10th. In early November the only DJ date was Marcela with DJ Amédée on the 7th.
The practical takeaway: plan your night around the agenda, and treat each techno date as an event worth booking ahead rather than a place you can just turn up to on a Saturday.
Techno in Paris: the clubs to know →A circus village at the edge of Paris
The setting is the reason to go. Picture a miniature circus village: a red big top, colourful little tents, caravans parked around them, and a circus school with classes from Monday to Saturday. The place celebrated 30 years of circus in 2025. The Anticlub, its club space, opens on concert evenings and hosts most of the electronic nights, and the Château Tigre, a restored dance-floor pavilion, has a new dancefloor. Over the 2026 holiday season the big top belongs to a circus show in the afternoons, from 13 November to 30 December, and the night programme is built around it. Dancing to techno under a circus tent, among caravans, is about as far from a standard club night as Paris gets.
What to wear
Le Cirque Électrique doesn't publish a dress code. It's an arts space with a circus school, so come as you are, in clothes you can dance in, and with a warm layer in winter if you plan to move between the big top and the outdoor areas. If you're coming as a group for one of the techno nights, tell us on WhatsApp the date and how many you are, and we'll tell you what's possible.
Getting to Porte des Lilas and back
Metro line 11 and tram T3b both stop at Porte des Lilas, and buses 96 and 20 serve the same stop. On Friday and Saturday nights the last metros get to the end of their lines at about 02:15, and about 01:15 on other nights. After that, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30, with Châtelet and Gare de l'Est among the network's big interchanges. Since the venue sits right at the edge of the city, it's worth planning the way home before the night starts, especially midweek.
