Bus Palladium Paris Guide: The Pigalle Rock Club Is Back
· Updated:
Bus Palladium, at 6 rue Pierre-Fontaine in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, is a Pigalle rock institution reborn: open from 1965 to 2022, it came back on 10 April 2026 inside a new five-star hotel, with the club downstairs. That club opens Thursday to Saturday, 11pm to 5am, for gigs, DJ sets, performances and aftershows.

What changed with the 2026 reopening
For decades the Bus was one of the city's rock rooms: Le Bonbon recalls concerts that went from the Beatles to Alain Bashung. It shut in 2022 for a full renovation and came back in April 2026 as something bigger: a five-star hotel with 35 rooms, including a suite named after Salvador DalÃ, a regular, plus a 24-hour restaurant, a bar and a rooftop for sunny days, all designed by the architects of Studio KO, and the project is led by Christian Casmèze, whose grandfather owned the building. Time Out (January 2026) says the basement club recreates the original room, now carpeted, while Caroline de Maigret, the hotel's artistic director, chose its playlists, scents and staff uniforms. In short, the address and the spirit are the same, but the comfort level is not.
From gig to aftershow without changing address
Le Bonbon credits the nights to Lionel Bensemoun, known in Paris for Le Baron and La Mano. His programme mixes live shows, DJs, performances and aftershows, and every room has its own soundtrack. In practice, that shapes the night: you can come for a gig, stay for the DJ and finish in the basement around 5am. The club opens Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11pm and stays closed from Sunday to Wednesday. Because concerts and club nights share the calendar, check what's on before you go. For a table, a guest-list spot or a group night, the options depend on the evening and the area: message us on WhatsApp with the date and how many you are.
Pigalle at night: the guide →Who goes and what to wear
No dress code is published. The setting gives you a hint: a rock-heritage room inside a five-star hotel, with Caroline de Maigret choosing the playlists and scents. Dress the way you would for a good concert you might stay late at: a jacket, boots or clean trainers, something with a bit of character. It suits couples, groups of friends who like live music, and visitors who want a club with a story rather than a huge dancefloor. Since the club only reopened in April 2026, its calendar is still young: check the programme before you go rather than relying on older guides, which describe the Bus as it was before 2022.
Pigalle around it
The restaurant upstairs runs 24 hours a day, so dinner before or a late bite after is easy. Some of the city's busiest nights are a few minutes' walk away: La Machine by the Moulin Rouge, Folies Pigalle on the square, and the Mikado and Madame Arthur a little further east. The club closes at 5am, after the last metro; the Noctilien night buses run until about 5:30, and the morning metro follows soon after.
