Supersonic Paris Guide: Music, Crowd, Dress Code, Getting There
· Updated:
Supersonic is a bar, gig venue and club at 9 rue Biscornet, just off Bastille in the 12th, with concerts by up-and-coming French indie pop and rock bands every night it's open and, on Fridays and Saturdays, an electro club that runs until 06:00. It's open from Tuesday to Sunday, and it's the address around Bastille where a gig crowd and a late dancefloor share the same room.

Gigs first, then a themed club night
Supersonic has built its name on live music. Sortir à Paris describes concerts every night of the week, mostly up-and-coming French indie pop and rock bands, and that's the reason many people first walk in. At weekends, once the bands are done, the room becomes an electro club until dawn. The club nights are built around a theme or a sound rather than a headline DJ. On 30 April 2026, for example, “Electric Feel” paired indie and synth-pop DJ sets with a live set from 23:00 to 06:00. “One More Time” is the French touch night. “Tainted Love” was an 80s party for Valentine's Day 2026, and for Halloween 2026 Supersonic went for a Shrek theme, with a live score and dancing until 06:00.
That makes it a good fit if your idea of a night out is guitars and singalongs rather than four-to-the-floor techno. Check the weekly listings for the night's theme before you go, since the music changes a lot from one weekend to the next.
The room and the crowd
The space is laid out like a New York loft, over two floors with a mezzanine, and there's a “fake food truck” on the first floor serving food at any hour, which is rare in a Paris club. Doors open at 18:30 from Tuesday to Saturday, with a happy hour early in the evening, so plenty of people arrive for the first band and simply stay. The crowd follows that rhythm: gig-goers, groups of friends after work, then a dancing crowd that arrives later at weekends. Supersonic also takes its name beyond its own walls: in May 2026 it spread a Block Party festival over roughly ten venues in the 11th and 12th, and in July (7 to 9) it ran the Restons Sérieux festival.
What to do in Paris at night →What to wear
No dress code is published, and the room is all guitars and indie: turn up as you would for a gig, with shoes you can stand in for a concert and dance in afterwards. On themed nights, some people dress for the theme, which is part of the fun. If you're planning a birthday or coming with a group, message us on WhatsApp with the date and how many you are.
Getting there and getting home
Bastille metro (lines 1, 5 and 8) is a two-minute walk if you take the rue de Lyon exit, and Ledru-Rollin (line 8) is close too. The last metros get to the end of their lines at about 02:15 on Fridays and Saturdays and around 01:15 midweek, when the venue closes at 02:00 anyway. At weekends, if you leave the club before 06:00, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30, and Gare de Lyon, a short walk south, is one of the network's big interchanges. Stay until closing and the metro is about to start again.
