From lunch to the dancefloor
Le 211 covers the whole day, which is what makes it different from the other venues in La Villette. It opens at noon as a bar and restaurant facing the canal, and as the evening goes on it turns into a club. You can start with dinner on a terrace, move up to the rooftop for a drink and end the night inside, without changing venue. Time Out's 2026 list of the best clubs in Paris includes it for its DJs, who come mostly from collectives that fly under the radar rather than from big headline names. That keeps the mood relaxed: disco, afro house and deep house rather than hard techno, and a crowd that comes to dance without the pressure of a big-name night.
It's also a good warm-up spot for the rest of the area. Le Trabendo and Cabaret Sauvage are a short walk across the park, and Mia Mao is a few minutes further north, so many people start here before a longer night in La Villette.
When to go
Le 211 opens from Wednesday to Sunday and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. For the canal and the terraces, come in the afternoon or early evening, when it works as a bar and restaurant. For the DJs, come later: the club side builds as the night goes on, and Time Out gives 06:00 as closing time. Sunday is a good option if you want to dance without staying out until dawn, since you can arrive in daylight and leave at a reasonable hour.
Paris nightlife, area by area →Five spaces, and how groups use them
Inside and out there are five areas to use: three rooms, two terraces and a rooftop, gathered where a footbridge crosses the canal. For groups, the terraces and the rooftop are the obvious choice, and the venue takes bookings for food, drinks and private events through its own website. Le 211 doesn't publish a dress code; it presents itself as a safe place for everyone, and the crowd dresses for a canal-side bar that becomes a club rather than for a nightclub door. Bring a layer if you plan to sit outside. For a table or a group night, message us on WhatsApp with the date and how many you are.
Finding the door, and getting home
Le 211 isn't on a street, so it helps to know the way. Ride metro 5 or the T3b tram to Porte de Pantin. With the Grande Halle in front of you, follow the path along its left-hand side for about 200 m towards the water; Le 211 appears on your left where the footbridge comes down. For a taxi or a ride-hailing app, enter “60 quai de la Marne, Paris 19”, two minutes away on foot. If you drive, the Q-Park Cité de la Musique and Q-Park Philharmonie car parks have more than 2,000 spaces between them. Some listings give 211 avenue Jean Jaurès, but that's the park's address. Going home, the last metros get to the end of their lines at about 02:15 on Fridays and Saturdays; later, Noctilien buses cover the night from roughly 00:30 to 05:30.
